Help
I am seeing a parameter in one of my GIF requests which is undocumented
Tell us about it! It is possible it is a new feature or change in the tracking data made by Google which has not been added into GIFhit yet. We will check out any mystery parameters you are seeing and update the software as necessary to stay up to date!
When I paste copied hit data into Excel, the formatting is unreadable
Make sure you use the Paste Special option instead of the standard Paste option, and select the Text paste type, this will stop the columns resizing and making the data difficult to read.
Will there be a Mac version?
There are plans to create a Mac version of GIFhit in the near future, but there is currently no expected release date.
Can I use GIFhit and Fiddler2 at the same time?
Yes! GIFhit works just fine alongside Fiddler2. The only consideration you need to be careful of is creating or deleting Root CA Certificates while enabling or disabling HTTPS support within GIFhit, as this will not automatically update the corresponding settings within Fiddler2.
Why are there two sets of data sent in the utme parameter for load times?
The first set of values sent for load time data (formatted as (A*B*C*D*E)) are rounded values which are rounded down to the next whole 10, e.g. 258 becomes 250. The second set of values represents the actual load times. Google have not documented why two sets of data are recorded, and it is most likely that one set is used for internal reporting, while the other is used by the load time reports within Google Analyticsâ„¢
GIFhit crashed / closed unexpectedly and now my browser won’t load any web pages
This can occur if either GIFhit or Fiddler2 exits without shutting down properly. Because GIFhit uses the FiddlerCore API it creates a proxy connection for capturing data, which will remain configured if an improper shutdown occurs and thus will prevent you from accessing the web properly.
To fix this issue, follow the steps for one of the approaches listed below:

- Select the Under the Hood options and click the Change Proxy Settings button under the Network section
- Click the LAN Settings button in the Internet Properties window that opens
